The White House has recently cancelled plans to nominate Elizabeth Klein as the deputy secretary of the Interior Department.
Apparently Klein’s nomination “was never officially submitted and that she will not be formally nominated to be the Interior Department deputy secretary.”
Klein is the second of Biden’s nominee that was forced to backtrack. Biden nominee Neera Tanden was supposed to be the director of the Office of Management and Budget, but she withdrew herself after extreme opposition from key senators.
