According to Breitbart News, the Trump Campaign is suing The Washington Post for “millions of dollars” claiming that they published “false and defamatory statements” about an alleged conspiracy with Russia.
Senior legal adviser to President Donald J. Trump, Jenna Ellis stated, “The statements were and are 100 percent false and defamatory. The complaint alleges The Post was aware of the falsity at the time it published them, but did so for the intentional purpose of hurting the campaign while misleading its own readers in the process.”
The Trump campaign also stated that the Post was “well aware at the time of publishing the foregoing statements that they were not true” and still decided to publish the articles.
Trump campaign further stated that they filed the lawsuit to “publicly establish the truth” and “properly inform” Americans of true facts. You can read the full article here.
