GOP nominee-to-be Donald Trump has started to focus more on criticizing Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton in a preview of what’s to come in the general election.
Trump gave a speech on foreign policy recently at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C., where he slammed the Obama administration’s failed approach to issues such as terrorism and refugees.
He specifically attacked Clinton for her actions during and following the 2012 Benghazi, Libya terrorist attacks that took the lives of four Americans.
Here’s the report from the Conservative Tribune:
“We have made the Middle East more unstable and chaotic than ever before. Our actions in Iraq, Libya and Syria have helped unleash ISIS. And we’re in a war against radical Islam, but President Obama won’t even name the enemy!“
But Obama hasn’t been alone in his ‘weakening of America,’ according to Trump, who also slammed Clinton for refusing to say the words ‘radical Islam’ and pushing for a massive increase in refugees from the Middle East.
“After Secretary Clinton’s failed intervention in Libya, Islamic terrorists in Benghazi took down our consulate and killed our ambassador and three brave Americans. Then, instead of taking charge that night, Hillary Clinton decided to go home and sleep! Incredible.
“Our ambassador was murdered and our secretary of state misled the nation – and by the way, she was not awake to take that call at 3 o’clock in the morning.”
In his speech, Trump assured voters he would fix the foreign policy flubs committed by the Obama and Clinton administrations.
