It looks like Project Veritas and founder James O’Keefe have struck again – and right at the heart of the liberal educational establishment. The truth-seeking group set up another sting operation with Common Core as its target – and they hit a dead-center bullseye.
Project Veritas has previously exposed ObamaPhone cheaters and helped shutdown the left-wing advocacy group ACORN.
The group taped an undercover video interviewing the West Coast sales manager for textbook publisher Houghton-Mifflin Harcourt, Diane Barrow. She revealed that her employer values profits over the needs of American school children, and had this blunt admission:
“I’m in it to sell books. Don’t even kid yourself for a heartbeat… I hate kids.
“It’s all about the money. What are you, crazy? It’s all about the money.
“You don’t think that the educational publishing companies are in it for education, do you? No, they’re in it for the money.“
A Brooklyn school teacher, Jodi Cohen, confirmed Barrow’s comments while speaking to an undercover journalist at what appears to be a bar.
“Oh my god, it’s all a money game. And the things is, what they do is, they create some new f***ing system that f***ing sucks to sell more books, and then we have to learn something new with the students. So it’s bullsh*t.
And if you needed confirmation that folks who work in education are liberal and/or Democrat, here it is. Ms. Barrow also gave her opinion about the 2016 presidential race:
“Who is listening to Donald Trump. I mean, come on. Do you know who is listening to Donald Trump? It’s all old, white men that are frustrated with their lives. It’s like a midlife crisis. And so, he doesn’t know policy, he doesn’t even – has he ever read the Constitution?”
Update: After the video was released, Ms. Barrow was fired by her employer.
Now we know the real reason for the insane Common Core curriculum: Money.
In the private sector, a business only makes money when they give customers what they want. In the public sector, not as much. This is more proof that parents should pull their kids out of the public school system, and send them to a private school – or do it themselves and home-school.
What’s your take on this damning video about Common Core?
